Tree Seats and Benches
This Tree Seat has been very popular, now 8 years making and suitable also as friendship seat in schools it comes ready with easy instructions for self assembly using just a screwdriver and spanner.
As with most of our furniture it is treated with a water based laquer which is less harmful to the environment and is safe for children. No pressure treated timber is used. See our Choice of Timber section on our Environment page for more details.
Tree seats are great attractions for garden or village green and children especially seem to be drawn to them.
Some advice on calculating the seat size (in case you forgot all your school geometry)
Seat height is 40 cms.so measure tree at this point. Measure circumference and
divide by 3.14 to calculate the Diameter.
Then add on 40 cms to Dia. to allow for tree as backrest and growth, and you have the Inside Diameter as shown in the table below.
Alternatively give us the Diameter or Circumference and we can work out the price.

These oak hexagonal tree seats are designed for robustness and durability, for ecoschools and visitor centres and for those with sustainability and our limited resources in mind.

This oak tree seat is designed to be maintenance free
At the present using english Norfolk oak, air dried now for four years approximately 35mm thick and using patinated copper clad bolts on the top surface so will contrast naturally with the weathered oak.

Round Tree Seats Benches
